Re: Fall of New Alexandria

Post by Guest on August 25th 2012, 14:11

[Starter]

**This is Warsmith calling any surviving elements from the UNSC Carrier Iridium**
**Repeat any and all callsigns from the Iridium heed this call. We need all callsigns to make there way to...-static-..I repeat...-static- New Alexandria Memorial Hospital, that is our..-static-.**

And the transmission faded into static. With quick strides, Darius moved from cover to cover. Always keeping his gaze foward, eyes looking for any Covenant or signs that UNSC personel have been through the rumble strewn street.

He could hear the screams of humans and the roar of brutes and elites, but he couldn't see them.

After sliding into cover behind a over-turned truck, he heard a distinctive sound, the sound of Banshees over head. He crouched and look towards the sky. He saw a boxy shape in the sky belching smoke, a Pelican he realized. Then to his horror he saw three Banshees take aim at the damaged aircraft and fire their green-ish torpedos.

Three smears of green rocketed towards the helpless Pelican...

Then the Pelican and the trio of Banshees slipped behind a towering skyscrapper.

With re-newed resolve he pumped his feet and started moving foward. At least he now knows he might have a chance of getting out of this hellhole.

[I'll be more in depth in my next post. Hopefully the RP is still alive wjhen I post again.]

Re: Fall of New Alexandria

Post by Agent Shadow on August 25th 2012, 20:54

When she finally made it outside, dusk started to settle in. She looked around and saw nothing but charred remains of vehicles, some still on fire.
I remember hating the amount of traffic that went though here. Nowadays, I'd give anything to be stuck here again.
She sighed and checked her tactical pad. Nothing interesting came up, but she was still relieved to see it working again.
Her com faded in and out, but nothing out of the ordinary. Hails, evacuations, nothing new really.
"...Overlord to SO01, this is a hail to SO01, if you are receiving, switch to a secure connection, I need a sitrep on your mission."
She tapped a few buttons on her pad, and held the com to her face.
"Overlord, this is SO01, I copy."

"What is your situation, SO01?"

"The device was destroyed, and I have schematics stored on my tactical pad. Uploading to you now."

She pressed a few more buttons, and returned to the com.

"Excellent work, we will have your exfil bird there momentarily."

She heard an ominous noise, and looked up to see three banshees soar overhead.

"You might want to wait on that or send air support, Overlord. I just spotted Banshee's near my location."

"Copy, light a flare when you're ready. See you when you get back. Overlord out."

She pulled a flare from her side, and tossed it in the open street. The red flashing light illuminated the street, and a few minutes later three falcons flew in.

"Come on, lets go!" A man on the turret shouted, and she boarded the Falcon and they took off.

It wasn't long though, until there was trouble.

They were flying when all of a sudden two banshee's flew by them, then circled around.

"Engage those enemy birds!" one of the pilots shouted into the com, and there was a roar of machine gun fire as the gunners began to fire at the banshee's. One blew up, but the other one oddly flew off.
"I have a bad feeling about this..." One of the gunners said, and suddenly the Falcon erupted in flames and began do descend.
"What the hell was that!" A pilot screamed, and Alexis looked over the side to see two phantoms closing in.
"Phantoms!" She shouted, "Perusing us!"
The turrets blasted the hot plasma rounds at the two remaining Falcons as they attempted to maneuver to avoid the shots.
This continued for a while, and eventually the other Falcon's rotor blade was hit.
"We're going down! Brace for impact!" The pilot said, and Alexis held on to the seat as they spun towards the ground. They swiped the side of a building, and the sound of metal screeching against metal was enough to make her cringe. They spun towards the ground, and when they it the Falcon rolled around a bit before coming to a stop.

She struggled to keep consciousness as she crawled her way from the crash site. She crawled to a wall and leaned against it, to asses the damage. Her helmet's visor was almost shattered, so she took it off and put it to her side. Her lip was cut open and seeping a small stream of blood, and cradled her arm.
I can still move it somewhat fine, so I'm guessing it's fractured.
She heard a moaning from the Falcon, so she stumbled over to it, her vision a little fuzzy. She spotted a body and used her good arm to pull it from the Falcon. It was a marine, a little younger than her, and he was wounded: badly.
He tried to mouth some words, but she put her finger to his lips.

"Shh, save your strength." she said, and removed the trauma kit attached to her hip and began to treat his wounds.
After she was done, she pulled him to the wall and leaned him against it. She knelt in front of him and held his head up gently so he was facing her.
"Address yourself, soldier." She said.
"Private Joseph Warren, ma'am." He said, almost in a whisper.
"What branch of service?"
"UNSC Marine, ma'am."
"Understood."
He suddenly became very panicky.
"Am I... Am I going to die, ma'am? I.. I don't want to... to die..."
"Calm yourself. Your wounds are not fatal. You're going to be alright."
He nodded, and she sat down next to him. She fished the com from her broken helmet and turned it to an open channel.
"This is SO01 to all active military personnel. My exfil bird was shot down by Covenant aircraft, and I'm with a Marine that needs medical attention. We need an extract soon, or I have a feeling they're going to look for survivors."

She dropped the com, and turned on her beacon. She closed her eyes and sighed, and the marine looked at her.
"Your insignia... You're one of those special Black Op soldiers with the ODST!"
She nodded, and he continued, looking forward.

"Man, you guys are like legends to us Marines. I've always wanted to be one of the ODST, but I don't think I could handle it..."

"It is dangerous. That's why our motto is "Feet first into hell.""

"Do you work with any Spartans?"
She sighed at this, and the Marine knew his mistake right away.

"Oh, yea... ODST and Spartans.... my bad..."

He was silent for the rest of the time, and she sat waiting, keeping a close eye out for any Covenant.

Jason had left the hospital to go on search a rescue. He wanted more marines to protect the hospital. It was the only real safe haven in the city now.

" Sir there is a ODST calling for a pick up she has a wounded marine with her as well" The pilot said to Jason

" Patch her through"

"This is SO01 to all active military personnel. My exfil bird was shot down by Covenant aircraft, and I'm with a Marine that needs medical attention. We need an extract soon, or I have a feeling they're going to look for survivors."

Jason got on the com " SO01 this is S-088 We are coming to get you light a flair so we can find your position"

the Falcon flew lower to the ground in search of the down falcon and flair

The Marine smiled, hearing the com buzz the response, and she fumbled around for a flare.

"Here... I have one right here." He said, handing her one. She nodded and quickly lit it and threw it into the courtyard. It was beginning to get dark, so she was thankful for the open flame from the Falcon wreck.

Abbie's heart sank seeing the Pelican get shot down, but that wasn't the worst of it...

The Pelican was still coming at them at high speed, unavoidably aiming at them.

"Look out!" Abbie said as she grabbed a hold of the Admiral and jumped to safety.

The Pelican hit the roof and slid across the roof, screeching all the way, until the noise stopped. It was balancing on the edge of the roof, swaying back and forth ever so slightly.

"There goes that idea..." Abbie said, standing up and holding out her hand to the Admiral, "You alright, sir?"

Jason was leaning out of the Falcon as it flew in search of the flair

" Pilot down there land down there" he pointed to the down falcon with a flare next to it

The Falcon landed in the court yard and Jason stepped out of the falcon and began looking for the injured soldiers

He spotted the ODST and ran over to her then seeing the injured marine he put his Heavy Machine gun down and knelt down next to them " I hope you two are ready to leave "

He looked at both of their wounds they both looked to be in bad shape " Can either of you walk "

[Evacuation]

{Christopher}

After Abbie had saved the Admiral's life once again, he decided that he truly trusted this Spartan, despite what he knew about her. Christopher looked over at the crashed Pelican.

Abbie was already clearing the fiery rubble, looking for survivors.

Where did those Banshees fly off to?

With Phantoms and Banshees patrolling the skies, there was no way to evacuate using aircraft.

The Admiral walked over to the Pelican. Abbie was lifting a portion of the Pelican's wing, that at least weighed 500lbs. She nodded to him as she continued to search the rubble.

Christopher turned on his COM. He scrolled through his contact list. Seconds later, the screen turned to static.

"Whoa!," he cried, "What the hell is this?"

Abbie immediately readied her Sniper Rifle and walked over to Christopher.

"Sir?" she asked.

He pointed to his COM and said, "The whole communications system just went to sh*t! The damn Covenant have jammed the city's communication!"

{Abbie}

The Spartan knew this was bad. Civilians or Marines could be stranded, but no one would know to look for them.

Or us.

She scanned the gruesome looking city and spotted a Falcon in the distance lowering itself onto the streets. Abbie looked to the East and saw a Phantom fending off an attack from two Falcons.

The Spartan knew they had lost, but others continued to fight on.

Abbie turned around and spotted something that made her heart sink.

A Spirit Drop-Ship was coming in this direction. It was flanked by two Banshees and the Magnetic Field was carrying a Wraith.

Just as the Banshees activated their Boosters and dipped in Abbie's direction, a Pelican surfaced from beneath the Spirit and rammed into the floating Wraith.

The Wraith was tossed into the air and plummeted toward the city.

The Pelican, however, was then trapped in the Magnetic Field. The overload of unfamiliar magnetic forces caused the Pelican to overheat and explode.

Abbie shielded her eyes from the intense light, but her visor automatically dimmed so that she could see. The Spirit was a good 500 meters from the rooftop, but the explosion forced it forward, and it plummeted toward the roof.

Meanwhile, the Banshees had flown away to assist a different Drop-Ship.

The Spirit flew over their head and crashed near the Pelican that had been destroyed earlier.

The wings of the Spirit opened up and revealed their cargo.

Brutes. Twelve in all, including a Chieften wielding a menacing Gravity Hammer and two Brute Heroes wielding Fuel Rod Guns.

{Christopher}

The Admiral spotted the Brutes and immediately started to panic. It would end here and now. There were too many for the Spartan to fight, and no number of Marines could handle two Brute Heroes.

The first few Brutes recovered from their disorientation and started firing their Plasma Repeaters.

Christopher rolled out of the way and looked around for Abbie.

He spotted her near the door to the stairs that led away from the roof.

The Admiral dashed for the exit, but was hit in the calf with a red-hot needle from a Spiker.

Searing pain shot up his leg and he heard only the loudest of noises.

Sniper Rifle bullets and the roar of the Brute Chieften. Moments later, he felt someone strong pick him up and for a second time today, he blacked out.

"I'm quite alright. Private Joseph Warren, on the other hand, is battered up. I'm surprised to see that he survived. Punctured lung, his leg is broken in two places, and some trauma to the head, not too severe though; his helmet took most of the impact."

She stood up, and was relieved when she realized her arm was not fractured: simply bruised. She stretched it, and reached to pull up Joseph. She wrapped his arm around her neck and carried him to the Falcon. She placed him in the seat and sat next to him.

Jason picked his heavy machine gun up an looked around the crash site one last time. He searched the down falcon for any dead body. He then took the pilots dog tags and made is way over to the falcon makes a hand sign to the pilot to take off and gets in as it begins to take off and headed for the Hospital.

Jason sat in the lone seat across from the two. He looked a bit weird sitting in a small seat. he held out the dog tags " Did either of you know pilot"

Alexis shook her head, but the Marine spoke up.
"Yea, I knew him. Mike Hoffman. Damn shame he didn't make it. He was one fine soldier."

Alexis com suddenly crackled, and she turned it up.

"...SO01, do you copy! Alexis! Are you there?!"

"I'm fine, Overlord. Just a few scrapes and bruises."

"Copy. Where are you now?"

"On a Falcon going to..." She looked at Jason

"Hospital"

"The Hospital."

"Copy. We will send for you there. Overlord out."

She sighed and rested her head on the seat. Work never ended for her, but she liked it that way.

She smiled at Jason.
"Thanks for the quick exfil. It's good to see some diligence left among us. I'm ODST Specialist Alexis Changrii. You are?"

[Awakening]

{Christopher}

The Admiral awoke to the drone of a Pelican's engines. He opened his eyes and found that he was staring at the roof of the Pelican's interior. Christopher tried to sit up, but an incredible pain from his calf prevented him from moving.

The Admiral's hand went to the back of his leg. There was a bandage around his leg and blood was soaked through the layers of cloth.

"You alright?" Abbie said.

Christopher looked around the Pelican and saw Abbie sitting across from him and a few seats down.

He nodded.

The Admiral tried to speak, but his throat was too dry.

"Water," he croaked hoarsely.

Abbie tossed him a canteen. The Admiral took it ravenously and drank all of the canteen's contents.

"Sorry," Christopher whispered.

Abbie shrugged and said, "We don't need you dying of thirst, now do we?"

The Admiral looked out from one of the Pelican's windows.

He guessed it was a little past 2 in the morning, but plasma and fires made it seem like it was dawn.

The Admiral tried to recall what happened.

After the Pelican rammed the Spirit, the Brutes came.

It was too dark to tell how many there were.

And then Abbie fought them.

Christopher had no idea how efficient in combat she was, but he guessed she could fight off at least two Spartan-III's.

The thought of this made him chuckle.

{Abbie}

When the Admiral awoke, she tossed him a canteen and continued to reflect upon what happened just hours before they boarded this Pelican.

She had killed most of the Brutes while they were still dazed. The Brute Hero that remained had fired his Fuel Rod Gun, but she had rolled to the side and had sniped him in the neck.

The remaining Brutes had engaged her, but she had whipped out her Assault Rifle and had sprayed the Brutes with enough bullets to destroy a Ghost.

Abbie had found the Admiral laying on the ground so she had picked him up and had moved him away from the fight.

After that, the Brute Chieften had engaged her with his Gravity Hammer. She had found him to be clumsy and slow and had used this to deal with him quickly and lethally.

Moments later, a Pelican had come to pick them up.

The Pilot had said something about unbelievable air traffic in this area, and he had come to look for survivors.

A jolt in the Pelican caused Abbie to be extremely alert of the current situation.

"We're almost to the Hospital!" the Pilot yelled from the cockpit.

The Hospital? How did we end up back here?

Abbie had been tracking Lincoln for a long time and watched him enter and exit the Hospital from a balcony on a tall building across the road.

The Spartan-II looked outside at the Hospital.

Several Falcons patrolled the air and scanned the darkness below for signs of Covenant activity. A Banshee flew out from the fog beneath the Falcons, but was quickly destroyed by a Missile Turret that had been set up on the Hospital's landing pad.

Abbie squinted at the landing pad. Missile Turrets ringed a small encampment on the roof. She saw ODSTs and Marines walking along the roof and listening to radios that were placed on tables.

She found herself smiling.

Safe.

" Spartan II Chief Warrant Officer Jason my most people just call me eighty eight "

He handed the dog tags to the Privet " Honor your pilot by never forgetting what he did for you on this day"

Jason looked out the side the city was burning and this was only day one how much longer would it go on

The falcon began to land on one of the Hospital landing pads " Well this is our stop" he looked to Alexis " You should see a medic before you go on any more missions Specialist Alexis Changrii"

She nodded and walked into the hospital. She needed a new helmet, and to have her arm looked at.

As she walked into the station, she couldn't help but blush at all the attention brought to her. Curious onlookers gazed at the mysterious woman walking along the isle. It wasn't often one saw a Black Op ODST, their work was usually kept secret by command. The thing that separated her from the others is the curious insignia on her shoulder pauldrons.

She reached a separate medical room, and as she was being treated their was a transmission from Overlord.

"Good to see you in one piece still, soldier." Overlord said.

"Please, sir. I've been through worse."

"So you have. The schematics you sent to us were a great use. We finally can adjust the com's so the transmission isn't jammed by the device, IF more are deployed."

"I would be surprised if they did, sir. At this rate, this city will be nothing but ashes in a few days."

"So it may seem... Anyway your current mission now is a little... different from what you're used to. This city clearly needs our immediate attention at this time, and we're deploying you to a search and rescue unit. Your medical skills and combat experience will be beneficial to the cause." She rolled her eyes.

"Surely you can find a Spartan to do that job. After all, they are the most *useful* ones around here...."

"Alexis. We've been through this."

"Besides, I'm sure people would be a lot happier if a Spartan showed up to save them rather then an ODST soldier."

"Alexis Changrii. You know damn well you're wrong. People know what that insignia on you means. You're not some genetically modified person with heavy armor and shields. You're an elite Special Operative selected for both your skill and knowledge. You're..."

"...Black Ops..." She sighed.
"Very well, sir. If search and rescue is my command directive, that will be my new mission..."

"Excellent. We will have another operative brief you before you leave. He's been doing the same job, and so far 16 lives have been saved. We expect nothing less from you. He will meet with you shortly. Overlord out."

The transmission faded away, and she stood up in the infirmary.
Search and Rescue huh... This will be different...

She walked into the main halls, and waited for the other operative.

[Admiral's Endgame Part 1: Rejuvenation]

{Christopher}

The Pelican landed on an open air-pad moments after a Falcon had dropped off its passengers. Christopher thought he saw two ODST's walk away from the Falcon's air-pad.

A squad of Marines came up to greet the Admiral and the Spartan.

They saluted him and the Admiral said, "At ease, boys, there's enough to worry about right now."

The Marines held their pose.

Abbie laughed.

"Uh, sir, I think they are saluting me," she said.

Christopher's felt the blood rush to his cheeks. Luckily the shadows hid his embarrassment.

"Okay guys," Abbie said, "You have posts to attend to."

The Marines walked away and started yelling orders to the others.

Christopher watched them curiously.

I've no longer become important, it appears...

A young man wearing a formal uniform approached Christopher and Abbie.

"Admiral Sandburg," he said plainly, "You need to come with me."

Christopher started to walk after the Officer, but Abbie stayed behind.

The Admiral frowned.

"Aren't you coming?" he asked.

Abbie shook her head and said, "I think I'll help them protect the Landing Pads for a bit."

The Admiral nodded slowly.

"Sir," the Officer said impatiently.

Christopher walked after him and through an iron door. They walked down a few steps and into a small room used for High Command meetings.

The Admiral took a seat across from the Officer and the two began to talk.

{Abbie}

Abbie watched the Admiral walk into the room that led to the stairs.

The Spartan-II turned to look at the roof's defenses. There were Marines stationed at various positions around the roof. A few tents served as temporary communications outposts. Missile Turrets that were armed by a Marine were scattered near the edges of the roof.

The Landing Pads were surrounded by barricades so that reinforcements and survivors could land easily.

A Phantom appeared from behind a tower a few hundred meters from the Hospital, but the Falcons and Missile Turrets took it out, before it had a chance to fire.

Abbie spotted a Spartan carrying a Heavy Machine Gun. She approached him and asked him his name.

"Jason," he replied dully, "but most people call me Eighty-Eight."

She waited still, and eventually a man approached her. He wore the standard ODST armor, with the same insignia on his shoulder pads as her. He took off his helmet and held out his hand.

"You must be Alexis Changrii." He said in a polite tone.

"So I'm told." She smiled, shaking his hand.

"It's good to see another specialist working in the city, especially one with your reputation. I'm Henry Rigsteel, now lets explain your mission shall we?"

The two walked to the landing pad, and along the way he briefed her about the mission.

"It's simple really. We get coordinates from Overlord, and we parachute from a Pelican to the vicinity. After we find the missing, we call for an exfil and pick up the troops."

"Is their any risk for banshee's or phantoms?" She asked. One close encounter was enough for her.

"That's the good part. Because the Pelican itself is not looking for the troops, it draws less attention to it. After we find the troops, that's when we come with air support. It's risking less that way."

"Simplistic and clever. Perfect," She smirked. When they reached the landing pad, there was a Pelican already waiting there for them. She glanced and saw two spartan's conversing. She couldn't help but sigh. Henry stopped at the Pelican's open hatch and turned to her.

"The Spartans, right? I honestly had the same reaction. Want to know what helps me ignore them?"

"What's that?" she said.

He smiled and placed his fist on the insignia.
"They don't have this on their Pauldrons. We do. They might be special, but their not Black Op special."

She smiled and stood in front of him.
"That actually does help."

"I thought so, now here Specialist Changrii," he said, tossing her a helmet, "I think you need one of these."

She put the helmet on and nodded, boarding the Pelican. They flew to a different part of the city, and the hatch opened again.

"Four stranded marines here after their Pelican was shot down. You know what to do."

She smiled, walked to the hatch, and turned to him.
"Feet first, soldier!" he said, and she nodded and jumped from the Pelican. She waited a bit, then opened her parachute. She drifted to the ground and saw the Pelican turn and fly away.

I love doing that
She turned the safety off on her silenced SMG, and made her way to the crash site.

//Hope you don't mind if I powerplay you a bit Murph, so we can continue with our story arch//

{Anya Rose}

(In her last moments...)

The darkness... it... it comes again, trying seizing her from her existence still.

She felt cold, so cold on the ground. Her own blood pooled on the ground.

Her sight blurred with every heartbeat, slowing down and becoming dark.

Her hearing was leaving her slowly but surely, she could her a commotion behind her.

A hand settled down on her shoulder and pulled her upwards, facing the sky.

It was blurry, but in between heartbeats she saw something noticeable. As if she's seen them somewhere.

"Slow down there sister, I don't need you dying too quickly." The voice muttered.

Wait.... Sister?... No... it can't be....

"Nnnn... Nhhhnn...." She tried saying, but to no avail. Her lungs were obviously punctured and with every attempt at talking sent a dulled pain up her spine.

"Yes, Nathaniel, your brother. Remember me? Well i remember you, and I remember when you left our family to waste back home. Did you think that you leaving wouldn't affect us? Mother killed herself and father went into a deep depression only a week since you ran away."

Anya started to lose consciousnesses, when she felt Nathaniel's hand hit her face, bringing her back to consciousnesses.

"And what of me, you ask? Well living off the streets made very self-reliant, a skill that a certain Office of Naval Intelligence tends to like. So they became my family, you see, letting me go places and gives me a big paycheck to make sure things are rolling smooth, might I add."

Anya tried closing her eyes, she wished for the darkness to consume her. She did regret the day she left, but she didn't mean for her family to fall because of it. She wish she could explain to him, why she really left...

She could only try one last thing to show she was sorry, she opened her eyes and gazed into his. She lifted up her hand and tried to touch his face, only to be met with more hate and anger.

"Don't you even try, sister. You're time for redemption has long passed you, and now you will pay for all the pain that you've caused for me and our family."

Nathaniel materialized an elite's energy sword.

No.. Nathaniel, don't do this...

Nathaniel had fire in his eye as he stabbed down into her already punctured chest, sending an unbearable amount of pain to her head.

Her vision blurred out as she tried to scream in agony. Her feeling and sight dimmed down to almost nothing as she lived her final seconds, heartbroken and slain by her own brother.

It was not her choice to leave...

This would be her last thought, as the darkness that has been following her finally got it's prize.

Then she felt no pain, no misery, and no feeling.

She was finally free...

{Nathaniel Rose}

(Present)

Nathaniel smiled as he was whisked away to safety on board the falcon.

Everything's on time so far. He was satisfied with with his accomplishments, it isn't easy predicting the future and planning accordingly. It took patience above all else, but regardless, his sister died by his hand and he got his information ONI has been looking for all the while maintaining his fake identity.

For his first assignment, it was going superb.

He sat in left of the two seats on the back end of the falcon's troop bay, along side with the Spartan II.

The Falcon's flight took no time from at all, eventually reaching the hospital.

"Well this is our stop Spartan." He said to Ben. They both touched down on the ground and the Falcon flew away, to go where it was needed.

"Where will you go? The Spartan asked.

He turned to the Spartan and looked into his visor, "Where ever ONI wants me to go." he said with a smile, "Oh, and don't be too down upon yourself over my sister, as in fact you didn't kill her, I did." He grinned, knowing the dismay the Spartan is going through, but alas he wouldn't dare to go against a ONI operative.

The Spartan stormed his way into the hospital to assist them.

Nathaniel checked his watch, and as if summoned by his action a transport pelican along with two other combat pelicans equipped with miscellaneous armaments from rocket pods to small scale Gauss cannons.

Nothing but the best for ONI, eh?

He departed Reach as he came, with a longing to succeed and a plan to.

"And your name is?" asked Jason/Eighty Eight.

Although it wasn't said to considerately, but the fact that there was another Spartan was here is good enough for here..

"Spartan B143, or Abbie if you really want an name." She replied to the Spartan.

"This...This is Specialist Alexis Changrii with the ODST Black Op division. I... I am flying in on a Banshee. Do not shoot..." She was growing weaker by the minute, but there was a response. A moment later, a Falcon appeared next to her.
"We will escort you in, Specialist." The two flew together until they reached the hospital.

The banshee landed on the landing pad, and she opened it and almost fell out.
She slowly staggered her way into the Hospital, her vision fading in and out.
All around her, there were shouts and people rushing her as they went to see what was wrong. She tried to mumble words, but she couldn't come up with the strength to do it.
Is this...What it's like to die...?
She tried to hold tight on her grip to reality, but it was a loosing battle. She looked around and saw two marines carrying her with her arms over their shoulders, presumably to a hospital bed. When they put her down, someone pulled her helmet off, and words suddenly surged to her.
"What happened?"
"Will she be alright?"
"She's lost a lot of blood, give her room!"
"Doctor, she's loosing consciousness!"
"She has multiple stab wounds, from energy swords!"
"Come on Alexis! Stay with me! Stay with me..."
Stay with me...
It was her last thought before everything went black.

/The story behind this will be added at a later time/

[Admiral's Endgame Part 2: Final Assault]

{Christopher}

After the door was shut and a communications jammer was set up to block eavesdroppers, the Officer began to talk to the Admiral.

"Admiral," the man said, "We have a problem."

Christopher raised his eyebrows. He knew they were in trouble, but this must have been serious trouble if they were talking about it in private.

"Let me explain," the Officer said.

Then he began to tell the Admiral everything:

"First, I will tell you who I am. I am Colonel Hughes from ONI's Earth division. The Spartans are nearly dead. We've lost contact with every Spartan except the ones in this Hospital and a few teams on the streets. The Covenant have taken over several vantage points in the city. And we've discovered something else: they have no intentions on preserving the city."

Christopher began to take this all in.

Perhaps that's why Abbie was so highly regarded...

The Admiral still had one question.

"What's so important about not wanted to preserve the city?" he asked.

Colonel Hughes was deep in thought and didn't hear the question.

"Sir," Christopher said quietly.

"I heard you, sir," the Colonel replied, "The Covenant have one goal: to glass this city."

The sun began to rise on the city. They had made it to day 2 but would there be a day 3 how long till the Covenant attack with a large force to take the hospital so many questions an no real answers.
