Chance is a good soldier for the Sith Empire. He doesn't care about the Sith's politics as long as he can keep fighting the Republic. He hates them with a passion for favoring the inner worlds and allowing the outer worlds to crumble under criminal neglect. The Sith at least can mantain their Empire.
